Premier Inn Plymouth - Sutton Harbour

Pretty much the usual Premier Inn standard, but the hot breakfast was better than average. Eggs were cooked to order when we arrived, and the warm trolley was stocked in small amounts, but staff kept checking and topping it up. The sausage and bacon were better quality than usual. The team seemed very young, but they were especially polite and efficient.

The place was clean and tidy, pretty much what you’d expect from a Premier Inn, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was the weak point: it seemed short-staffed, orders had a lot of mistakes, with wrong dishes, mains arriving before starters, missing dessert ingredients or items unavailable, and the bar ran out of draught Coke.

We’ve stayed here lots of times, and the rooms have always been clean and tidy. It was busier this visit because of the school holidays, but we missed the breakfast rush and had no complaints. Breakfast was lovely, and Karen and Rinson gave great service. Everyone was smiling and helpful even though they were rushed off their feet. We’ll definitely come back. Great location, too.

We come here often, my husband and me, and have always been pleased with our stays. Oliver has been especially helpful and professional, sorting out any problems we’ve had. When the heating gave us trouble, he fixed it straight away and even gave us breakfast for free. We trust him to handle anything that comes up. It’s a great place to stay.
