Stay & Play at Lovebehindcloseddoors

I still haven’t received a refund for the room I couldn’t get into in October. I was due to arrive late on 28 and 29 October, and Ocean Lodge had agreed to that in advance. But the handle on the door was broken, and none of the emergency numbers answered. At midnight I ended up wandering around town trying to find somewhere else at the last minute. This update is dated 01/12/2022. Don’t stay here.

I was travelling alone, so it was upsetting when a taxi driver and a visitor for another guest knocked on my door. People also kept leaving the front door improperly closed. In the kitchen, raw chicken had been left on the counter for over 24 hours, and the sink was full of dishes that had been there since I arrived. There was urine on the toilet seat too.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. The room was filthy, with hair in the bed, a dirty carpet and dirty towels. They offered us another room, but that one hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests either. The manager’s boyfriend spoke to us rudely. Avoid it.

It was basically a bed, but it worked for one night. The facilities weren’t great, though they did the job.
