There’s parking, and the outdoor space has both covered and open-air areas. Nice place, with friendly staff and lovely punters. I’ve seen some cracking bands here too. Well worth a visit!

The cafe across the road was late opening for breakfast when I was visiting my brother for the weekend. A really kind barmaid let me wait in the pub and made me a couple of coffees. Very kind of her 👍🏻

The staff at the Castle Pontardawe were lovely when I visited yesterday evening. But after I wrote down my details for track and trace, someone called me at 1 am Saturday. They knew my name and wouldn’t say who they were. The information sheet had been left on a table in the pub, where anyone could see and access it.

It’s a clean, casual local pub with a friendly atmosphere, and it feels suitable for all ages. I can usually get a nice drink here at a reasonable price, and there’s regular entertainment too.

Rachel behind the bar is a diamond! It’s good to see bottled ales in stock now. The lack of ales used to put me off coming to what is otherwise a great pub.
