The name says it all, “Premier Inn.” My family have stayed here a few times and love it. I stayed home this time because I needed some peace and quiet, not because they’re noisy, just needed silence. The rooms and beds are good, clean and comfortable. They’re removing the showers over the baths and putting in large shower areas, though I don’t know if that’s happening in every room. My family didn’t ask, and I would’ve asked if I’d been there. The staff are always friendly and helpful, it’s Wales, everyone’s friendly. My family were at the Beefeater for the first time and loved the breakfasts each day and their evening meals too. They weren’t at home, so using a camping stove in a hotel room or bringing your own toaster isn’t okay. Just have breakfast here, there’s lots of choice, friendly staff, and parking for cars and mobility scooters.

Ceri and Kelsey made our stay at Llantrisant stand out. They paid attention to what we needed and made each interaction feel personal, rather than just going through the motions. I’ve stayed at dozens of Premier Inns around the UK for work and holidays, and this welcome was unlike the others. The room was clean and the location was great too. I’ve recommended this one to friends and colleagues, and I’ll come back. Thanks, Ceri and Kelsey!

Pretty standard Premier Inn. There’s lots of parking, but you need to register your car at reception. Breakfast at the Beefeater next door was nice. I couldn’t figure out the air conditioning, and the window doesn’t open. Phone reception is very poor, though the hotel Wi-Fi is okay. The shower could have a bit more pressure. No fridge or ironing board, and it’s only 10 minutes from the M4. The supermarkets were closed.

After giving up on a cottage we’d booked because we weren’t happy with it, I booked this room at 11pm and got there 20 minutes later. The room was ready, spotless, and a real relief after such a stressful evening. The staff even offered to keep our milk in their staff fridge. We also really enjoyed breakfast at the Beefeater. Thanks, Premier Inn!

We’d booked and paid to upgrade to a Premier Plus room for our trip to LLantrisant, Wales. The booking was made two months ahead and confirmed by email, but when we arrived, we were put in a standard room because, they said, all the Premier Plus rooms were full due to a mix-up. This has happened to us before. The hotel staff were very sympathetic and would have helped if they could, but Guest Relations offered just £20 when we asked about compensation. I travel around the country for work and stay at Premier Inns often, but that didn’t seem to count for any loyalty consideration. They didn’t even apologize or offer a free stay next time, just repeated that there’d been a “mix-up.” I know it’s Premier Inn, not the Hilton, but this was a really disappointing lack of thought for a regular customer. I may have to look at Travelodge.
