We had a wonderful welcome from Megan, including a lovely hamper, and she was a brilliant host. We absolutely loved The Houseboat and would love to return. The house is stylish, beautifully presented, peaceful, and has fantastic views. There’s plenty of room to relax in all kinds of weather, with board games and comfortable places to sit inside and out. We were seven friends catching up, and the lounge seating worked really well. The big sliding doors onto the patio were lovely to leave open during the day. The house had everything we needed, and we enjoyed walks in the nature reserve and on the beach, plus early morning sea swims just down the path. We also followed Megan’s dining recommendation and had Christian from Salt Co cook for us one evening. That was great fun.

Kathryn was very helpful with my questions before we arrived. We spent three nights here with my husband, two adult children, and their partners, and couldn’t fault the stay. The house was absolutely beautiful, with a lovely welcome hamper and fresh flowers. It felt like pure luxury, from the location and views to the walks and easy trip into Poole. The bedrooms were lovely, the beds comfortable, and the bath towels were big. There was a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of chairs, sofas and tables, plus games and books.

Megan, who looks after the housekeeping, was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We had a great time and will be back soon. The house is stylish and well kept, with enough space for everyone to do their own thing even when the weather’s bad. The kitchen was well stocked and a pleasure to cook in. We hired Chef Christian for a special meal cooked to order in front of us, and it was excellent and good value.

Megan was wonderful throughout our week here in early July 2020. She was professional, caring, and always available, and did all she could to make the stay memorable. We also met Roger, the visionary architect behind the project. He was lovely and talked us through his design with real passion. We’ll definitely make the Houseboat a regular getaway. The house is a beautiful piece of architecture and interior design, with amazing views from almost every room. Our three children loved the open-plan layout and how close it was to the harbour. Everything was spotless and exceptionally well equipped, including a fantastic double oven and large fridge. The bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated, with linen like a 5* hotel. We really appreciated the generous welcome pack.

Our family of eight had our annual holiday here, and everyone agreed it was the best house we’d stayed in. The kids loved the upstairs TV gallery, and the beds and seating were comfortable. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the kitchen had all the pots, pans, utensils, glasses, cups, and cutlery we needed. The welcome pack of essentials and bouquet of flowers were a lovely touch. We had a great holiday in The Houseboat, thank you.
