The Heritage Hotel

I was appalled by how poorly the owners communicated while my vulnerable dad was staying here. We couldn’t check in because the door was locked, and after trying repeatedly to reach someone, we eventually got an answer. The door was then unlocked, but we realised in the morning it had been left unlocked all night. There were drunk people staying across the road, and I’m worried about people’s safety here. Don’t stay there.

The location was the only good thing. We paid nearly 200 quid, and the place was nowhere near what I expected. The radiator didn’t work, and the TV was miles away and didn’t work anyway. There are sharp tack nails on the stairs, and my missus cut her foot on one. The front door wasn’t secure. The bed bangs against the wall if you move, the toilet roll holder is snapped, and the doors bang shut with no slow stoppers. It’s ruined our Porthcawl experience. Next time we’re going back to Tenby. There’s a nice place across the road, I’d stay there instead. Don’t come here!

The room was spotless, warm and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities. The town and seafront are just a two-minute walk away. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The beach and pubs are only five minutes away on foot. Our room was spotless, and the landlady was really helpful. A lovely place to stay, and I’d definitely come back xx
