Harbour View

I changed my review after the noise on the second night made it almost impossible to sleep. People walking past outside weren’t especially loud, but the poor soundproofing made it feel like the noise was right in my ear. The road came through badly too. Maybe you’ll hear other guests’ late night escapades as you try to sleep. On the first night, the room was clean, the receptionist pleasant enough and everything seemed fine, but £70 a night for just the bare minimum stings. I suppose that’s the going rate now.

Room was clean and basic, a bit like a Travelodge room, maybe after passing through a few chains. The receptionist was friendly, the en-suite was Lidl, and the location was decent. Not too bad.

Our usual place in Portishead, and really handy for town. Lidl is right next door for warm bread at breakfast or food to make for yourself. The staff were fab, especially Leona from Liverpool.

We’re using it as a stopover to split up our journey. The room is clean and the staff are very helpful. It’s good for the price, especially after paying a lot more for places that were much worse.
