The harbour and coastline looked beautiful from the boat. Our three-hour family mackerel fishing trip was well organized, safe and fun for all ages. We caught loads, which made it even more exciting. A fantastic way to spend time together, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Portrush.
A brilliant spot for taking pictures and watching the boats, and there’s a really good restaurant as well.
A large cruise ship was anchored offshore during our visit. It’s a pleasant enough place to wander around, though I didn’t find it as appealing as nearby Portstewart.
We caught part of the Northwest 200, walked over to the white rocks and had a lovely dinner at Tide’s. Portrush is a fun little seaside town, with great views and sights.
We went on a wildlife boat trip and got to see seals and several kinds of seabirds. There’s a very good chance of spotting dolphins too. Sadly, we didn’t see any ourselves, though the boat just before ours saw around 60 swimming along.
