We were in the area to visit an elderly relative and took them for a meal at the Seven Stars. It was warm and clean inside, and the staff gave us a lovely welcome. My Sunday beef dinner was delicious, well cooked and a generous portion. Two people in our party had chicken with a giant Yorkshire pudding, and that was wonderful too, with plenty of food, chicken, sausage wrapped in bacon, three vegetables and stuffing. We’d definitely come again if you’ll have us. Thanks very much.

This used to be a decent pub, but it seems to get worse by the day. The atmosphere has gone downhill, service is slow, and the staff don’t seem to care. The drinks cost too much for what you get, and the food portions keep shrinking. It’s a shame, because it had potential, but now the place feels neglected and badly managed. It’s not what it used to be.

The staff were fantastic and really helpful. They apologised that the food would be delayed, which made sense as they were busy. I paid around £6.99 for the cheeseboard, and there was so much cheese that I couldn’t finish it. It was more than good value, really. I’d have liked a smaller amount of cheese with a little dish of butter or some chutney to go with it. Still, we had an amazing visit, thanks to the great staff. Just too much cheese and not enough wet!

The beef dinner in a giant Yorkshire pudding, with extra pigs in blankets, was so filling I couldn’t finish it. Really good food, great service and a good price. We went for Sunday dinner and I was very impressed. Definitely going back.

We booked for Sunday dinner, and being dog friendly was a nice bonus. The staff were welcoming, the food was fantastic, and the homemade Yorkshire pudding around the roast was a lovely touch. I’d recommend it to anyone after a nice meal.
