We were made very welcome when we arrived. This beautiful old building has so much history, and the enclosed courtyard was perfect for our puppy. The space is fitted out really well, with everything you need down to the smallest details, including things for dogs. We've had a lovely couple of days and will definitely come back since you're so dog friendly. Thank you.

The Old Laundry made a lovely base for exploring North Wales, and I really liked the building's history. My husband, our pug Delilah and I spent two nights here. It's a quirky little place, small but thoughtfully laid out with everything we needed. The heaters kept it warm and cosy. We might have used the courtyard if it hadn't been so cold outside.

For the price, it's OK for what it is, but the inside needs modernising. The fridge needs defrosting: it froze my butter, melon and berries. There was a lot of clutter and dust, including cobwebs around the kitchenette and dusty wall art, with the wooden double swastikas especially covered. The floors and units were clean, but the bedding had marks and hair. I had to wash the utensils before using them, and the mini oven was greasy when we warmed up a chippy tea. The old wooden cutlery and pans unit also didn't feel clean or hygienic. The kitchenette was only really suitable for a salad or sandwich. They provide a plug-in double hob, but you have to move the fridge to reach a socket for it. The bathroom sink only has cold water, so shaving would mean using the tiny kitchenette sink, which I wouldn't recommend for hygiene reasons. The shower worked well. There's little room for your own toiletries, and the rusty mirrored cabinet should be replaced with shelves. When using the loo, the mirror gives you a view of yourself in action. Storage is poor for stays over two nights, with only a few hangers on a rail in the bedsit area. The snug living room is tiny. I can't say whether the couch is comfortable because we had to use it for luggage. There's a dining table and chairs, but not enough room to pull the chairs out, so they serve no real purpose. The long pillow takes up too much space on the bed, and the glasses are hard to reach without using an unsafe wobbly step. We drove past three times before the owner came out to ask what we wanted. Some signs would help guests find the place. There are notes all over telling guests to follow rules, which felt passive aggressive. A handbook would let guests relax without worrying they might be breaking rules. It's adequate as a dog-friendly base for a couple of nights, but we weren't looking for dog-friendly accommodation. I'd suggest clearing out the clutter, replacing or defrosting the fridge, swapping the table and chairs for a wooden bench with a couple of pull-out stools, and deep cleaning all the nooks and crannies, especially around the kitchen.

A quiet, quirky little spot, quaint too. They provide lots, so we could pack lighter. Very clean and comfortable enough for a couple of nights.
