Duck Lodge B&B

The lodge is right by the South Downs Way, which makes it handy for walking or cycling. My husband surprised me with a stay at Duck Lodge, tucked away at the bottom of the garden, and it was such a lovely treat. The wooden cabin was warm and cosy, with everything we could want, including a hot tub. Keith brought breakfast to the door at a time that suited us, and there was so much choice. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful, restful stay and would love to come back. The garden feels like a little sanctuary, and the Lodge is lovely and private, with beautiful decor and local artwork. It was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities we needed. The hot tub and its lovely view were a real treat. Keith was warm and welcoming, and his attention to detail showed everywhere. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic and served in the morning when we chose.

We were cycling the South Downs Way, and Duck Lodge was just right for the end of our second day. Keith was a great host, and the place was so comfortable, especially the bed. He also served us a delicious breakfast. We could leave our bikes securely in the lock-up store, where there was charging. Thanks for a fabulous stay. We'll be back!

We only stayed one night while cycling the South Downs Way, but Duck Lodge was a magical find. We arrived late and Keith was completely fine about it. He welcomed us, helped us settle in, and even called the local Pub to reserve a supper table. We met his lovely brown Labrador, Beau, the next day as we were leaving. The place is well suited for a couple of days exploring the area, or for a stop along a longer South Downs journey. Keith was a superb host, and we'd gladly stay again.
