Foxhunter Park already feels like a proper community since I bought my holiday home here. My dog loves the field and has made friends, which has helped me meet people too. There's always something happening, and Ruby the entertainer brings loads of energy for kids and adults alike. The staff, from the gardeners to the office team, are lovely and easy to approach. It's a friendly place where people look out for each other, with a nice balance of fun and quiet.

The caravan on the Central Park section was really nice, and the park made a good base for exploring. We enjoyed the walks, especially around Reculver country park. A couple of things in the caravan could have been better: the kitchen only had three mugs for a place that sleeps four, and the bathroom radiator didn't work. The parking arrangement also felt odd. We unpacked in the space by our front door, then a few hours later our neighbour told us it was hers, so we moved. We've stayed in lots of caravans but haven't had to park behind our own before and look out at a neighbour's car. It was a pleasant enough park, though I'm not convinced by the five-star rating.

My elderly mother lives here and has cancer, so she's spent a lot of time in hospital lately. It's been a worrying period, and we hadn't collected the updated passes. When my mother confirmed who I was, I still wasn't allowed to stay with my family in the clubhouse. My partner and baby were already waiting in the pool area, so the rest of us ended up leaving. We've been loyal customers for over a decade, and the new owners' customer service was awful.

We won't be returning. The road layout was a hassle, with narrow lanes, a confusing one-way system and an entry barrier you have to get out of the car to open. The speed bumps felt enormous. There were no rubbish or recycling points that we could find, so we took our rubbish home. The caravan itself was okay and the park was quiet, but the main bedroom was cramped and the bed uncomfortable enough that I was awake by 4am each morning and slept on the couch. The free Wi-Fi kept disconnecting our devices, and the TV's media player had been removed, so I couldn't use the formatted hard drive I bring to watch our usual media.

The location was lovely and the staff were helpful, but the photos gave us a better impression than the place did. The entrance looked like a building site, and there's no shop on site. Getting around was tricky: the lanes are tight for a car, and the one-way system doesn't help when you get lost. There were no bins for our rubbish at the end of the stay, and the Wi-Fi wouldn't work on our phones. You also have to get out of your car to use the entry fob. We won't be back.
