We were very happy with our stay. The family room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome. It's in a good spot right by the beach with lots of different shops nearby, and the price was reasonable. The bathroom facilities could have been better.

The room and ensuite were spotless, the staff were lovely, and it was great to have parking and a dog-friendly place to stay. There were good menus available 24 hours a day. Rochester station was a two-minute walk away, and the castle and cathedral were five minutes away. It was a bargain with everything we needed and nothing we didn't. We loved it!

The hotel sits right by the harbour, close to the town centre, pubs, bars and restaurants. We found the location handy for local amenities, buses and sights, with Broadstairs under a 10-minute drive. It's also well placed for Margate, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Deal, Sandwich and other coastal spots. There's a fab Spoons a short walk away. The hotel was generally clean and tidy, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Louis in the Café/Bar was especially welcoming. We had an accessible room on the first floor, which seemed an odd placement for guests who can't walk without help. At check-in we were told an evac chair was outside the room and that we'd need to wait for someone to collect us in an emergency. My partner would have struggled on the stairs even in normal circumstances. The walk-in shower with its pull-down chair was handy, and I was glad to see the raised toilet and support handles. The beds were much too soft for us and also very low, which made getting my partner in and out difficult given her mobility issues. We often have to do that 3-4 times a night, and luckily we had some of our own aids. Some outside noise came in, but we managed to sleep after nodding off. It wasn't the great night's sleep TL promises, but it wasn't terrible either. The food was quite good, and breakfast was welcome, with plenty of choices for us. Coffee, toast, cereal and yoghurt made an easy start, while the hot food was fresh, hot and often replenished. I only tried bacon, sausage and beans, but everything looked fine and people were enjoying it. At £10, it was good value and convenient. There's no parking at the hotel, so you need to use the multi-storey across the road. It costs at most £9 for 15 hours, which actually gets you 24 hours. Check the signs, as some hours are free. A blue badge can get you several free hours, possibly most of the parking, and you don't need to pay for a full day if you take the car out. The main let-down was the so-called Premium WIFI. I paid for three days, expecting a wired connection and decent access points to be more stable than my mobile data, which was getting around 15-30Mbps. I was wrong. The best hotel WIFI speed I got was 5.xMbps. Virgin support were very nice but did almost nothing, and I'm fairly sure I had to pay for the call as well, so it felt like a waste of money twice over. Try the free half hour first and check the speed with a speed test site or app against your mobile provider. If needed, get a mobile data add-on instead. 5Mbps isn't premium WIFI, so check before paying. I'd recommend the hotel for a stay in the area.

The harbour view from our room made the stay feel special, even though the room itself was just okay. There were no issues, though the ensuite looked a little tired. For a cheap night away, it was absolutely fine. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a meal deal for dinner, then enjoyed drinks during happy hour. The food and service were amazing, and the unlimited breakfast had a nice range of options. The sausages were especially tasty. We had a lovely night in Ramsgate and I'm sure we'll come back in summer.

We had a lovely, fresh and clean room overlooking the harbour. The location was spot on for a stay with kids, and the staff were nice. Breakfast felt relaxed and was well organised. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
