Celador Apartments - Wellington House

I stayed in May 2025 and found these apartments in Reading extremely well maintained. They're centrally located, close to Oracle Mall, Broad Street, and Reading Railway Station. I'm planning another trip to Reading soon and will be booking Celador Apartment in London Street, Reading.

We were a little worried before arriving because reception isn't staffed around the clock, but Levi made that concern unnecessary. He was kind and professional, guided us through setting up the apartment, and helped with different issues. Whenever we got in touch, he replied right away and took real care of things. The facilities were great too, especially the full-sized, spacious refrigerator. Kitchens and fridges in many other serviced apartments in Reading can be too small, so having this much room made our stay incredibly comfortable. After that, it's hard to go back. Highly recommend!

I was new to Reading and stayed at Celador Apartments (Wellington House) for about a month. The place was quiet, which I appreciated after having stayed near Friar Street, where weekends can be noisy. You might occasionally hear a neighbour through the somewhat thin walls, as with many serviced apartments, but this was a much calmer and more comfortable setting than the city centre. There's a Tesco and several takeaway shops right downstairs, plus accessible bus stops nearby. Parking, accessed via East Street, was a big reason I chose it. Colleagues had told me about the hassle of other city-centre apartments, with complicated permits and restricted bus lanes. Here, getting into the car park was easy, the spaces weren't tight, and there was always plenty of parking. Levi, the facility manager, was fantastic. He met me in person, helped with my heavy luggage, and showed me how to use the appliances. When he spotted that the washing machine wouldn't turn on, he troubleshot and fixed it within five minutes. Later, after a long moving day, I thought I was locked out and messaged him. He replied immediately to help me troubleshoot. Turns out I just needed to push the door harder! His communication was so prompt that I never had to wait around. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and equipped with the appliances and kitchenware I needed. I also appreciated the weekly cleaning. Mine had lift access, though I suspect not every unit does, so ask if that's something you need. For a convenient, hassle-free stay in Reading with good management, I'd happily stay here again.
