The full English breakfast was a letdown, though there was plenty of other food in a clean, pleasant dining room. The manager said they’d stopped serving mushrooms and tomatoes because nine times out of ten people scraped them into the bin. It was reasonably priced, and if I absolutely have to go back to Reading, I’ll definitely stay there again. The room was clean and not shabby, with a spotless en suite and a comfy bed. There’s 24-hour access, free Wi-Fi and plenty of spaces in the on-site car park. The manager was very helpful, though I didn’t ask if they were also the proprietor.

The rooms are old and smelly, and the staff are rude and controlling.

My room was really clean, with an en suite shower, and the bed was comfy. The place is well located, close to both the town centre and the main railway station. I arrived late, but the owner called to check I was okay and still on my way. I parked at the back of the property and would happily stay again.

Management were extremely helpful, and the guest house has excellent parking behind it. It’s no more than a ten-minute walk to the city centre, and I’d strongly recommend it for the value and location. I stayed here several times in July 2018. The accommodation is clean and basic, and breakfast was minimal.
