Premier Inn Reading (Caversham Bridge)

Breakfast was basic but tasty, with individual cooked options, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The rooms were the usual simple, clean, modern kind, in a very central spot. There was plenty of parking. No EV chargers on site, though nearby ones were reasonably priced and very busy.

We joined my relatives for breakfast after they’d stayed the night at the Premier Inn. We all enjoyed it and thought it was excellent value. They’d travelled down from the north and were well looked after at Caversham Bridge. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful.

There’s no evening meal, but the Toby Carvery next door was very good. Both the full English and continental breakfasts were excellent. Great value for money all round.

The shared car park with the Toby Carvery never got too noisy, even though my room faced it, and I found a parking space every day. I skipped eating at the hotel and the Toby, since there are much better places nearby. I was here for three nights. It’s well located for a lovely walk along the Thames path and easy access to lots of restaurants in Caversham. As usual at Premier Inn, the bed was amazing. The room was fair, clean and good value, and the staff were responsive and very helpful. I’d definitely stay again.
