The sunset balcony was a lovely place to sit, and having a kitchen with plenty of dishes was a bonus. We stayed five nights. On the first day the bathroom wasn't clean and the heat stopped working, but our hosts responded quickly and sorted both problems right away. They also gave us useful tips about local attractions. A couple of small things: the iron didn't work, and it was hard to find the door after dark. In the Balcony Room, the bathroom is down the main hall, so bring slippers and a robe. The shower is very low. I'm 5'6" and only just fit under the head, though the water temperature and pressure were a dream, and the bathroom had nice light and ventilation.

The owners were friendly, and the place was very clean, comfortable, and well furnished. It's a well-run, high-quality B&B, handy for trains and buses, with free use of the kitchen. The shared bathroom and WC were perfectly adequate, though for this price I'd have liked an en suite. Still, it is 2019.

Getting around by public transport was easy from here. I had a spacious room and the hosting couple were friendly, though I have to thank Jen more than Jay! I was very happy spending my time there.

We turned up on the wrong day, but the owners still let us stay even though they weren't ready for guests. The house and rooms were immaculate, and I loved being able to use the shared kitchen. It felt like a home away from home, and we'd definitely come back under better circumstances! 😊

We only stayed two nights because we had to head for the ferry in Dover, but I would have happily stayed longer. The rooms were fantastic and the amenities were great, especially for the price. We'll come back next time we're in the area.
