Plume of Feathers

Finally stopped at this really good locals pub after driving past so many times. Great food and brilliant staff. I’ll be back soon.

We were really disappointed with the roast dinners. Three of us ordered them, and the vegetables were pale and had no taste. Each plate had just one tiny slice of beef and one small slice of gammon, and the three of us had to share a single small jug of gravy. The fourth person chose from the set menu. There were only a few people in the restaurant when our table of four arrived around 1:30 p.m., so the poor portions and lack of care were hard to excuse. For what we paid, it was incredibly disappointing. We’d strongly advise others to avoid it.

We stayed for the Saturday night Disco and had a great time. It’s a friendly pub with attentive staff, plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from, and an affordable food menu. We’ll definitely be back.

There were five of us, and every dish was beautiful: two scampi, chicken, surf and turf, and gammon. The salad, mushrooms, onion rings, peas and eggs were all stunning too. The staff were lovely, chatty and friendly. If I lived nearby, I’d be there all the time 😊😊
