The Ferry Inn

First time visiting since the new owners took over. The food was lovely, and I can’t fault the service at all. They’d thought through the food and drinks selection well, with something for everyone.

We had a lovely stay last night, with phenomenal views of the Clyde from our room. The room was fresh and very clean, and there were little bottles of water, tea and coffee waiting for us. It’s the small touches that make it. The staff were so warm and welcoming. The bar staff even helped us bring our bags in from the car. Thanks for a lovely stay. We can’t wait to visit again next year.

The food is still good quality, but the service needs to get better. We waited over an hour, one plate was forgotten, and then it took another 10 minutes for the last one to arrive. It was my first time back since the building was renovated. A lot of work has gone into making the pub more comfortable, but unfortunately the customer service has gone out the window.

There was cross contamination from food being cooked in the same fryer as the chips. I have coeliac disease and found pieces of tempura batter among my chips. Not impressed at all. We were a party of 14, and after waiting an hour, three people still hadn’t received their food. The staff didn’t seem interested and offered no excuses. Shocking service. Terrible. I’ll never come back.
