Keith was quick to respond and really helpful. He checked that I had the app and understood the instructions and access codes. The location is quite central, with easy access to most of the main shops. Our room was small but very clean, with fresh towels and a few small toiletries. There were some downsides: the bathroom is shared, and the basic toiletries didn’t include a hairdryer. We were in room 11 and could clearly hear noise from room 13 through the thin walls. A bright green light on the ceiling had to be covered when we turned the lights off. The window faces the main street, so traffic was easy to hear by early morning, and without blackout blinds the room got bright then, too.

Right in the centre of Retford, these clean rooms worked well for a stopover. The manager was excellent and very helpful, and the other staff were helpful too. It’s only a short walk across a secure courtyard, though getting to the shared bathroom meant another short walk down the corridor. The high street was noisy, so we needed to keep the windows shut. I was happy with the stay and would use it again.

Easy to book, and I could access the room at any hour. It was beautifully clean and decorated, just right after a night out.

I didn’t stay the night. There were no instructions for either door, no one answered the phone when I got locked out, and there was no breakfast despite it being advertised. The bathroom was shared and the room smelled of cigarettes.

Spotlessly clean and beautiful, our room was in a lovely old building full of character. We couldn’t fault the stay.
