We booked at the last minute after the place we’d originally arranged elsewhere turned out to be horrendous. Even with just two hours’ notice, the lovely owners had the cottage spotless and ready, with everything we needed, including fresh milk, Welsh cakes and treats for our dog. It was comfortable, nicely decorated and had parking. A beautiful base for exploring Anglesey and beyond. We’d happily book again when we return.

The host lives next door and was so accommodating, even with our last-minute booking. The cottage gave our family of four loads of room, and the boys could choose between a downstairs bunk room and a twin room upstairs opposite the main bedroom. There were toys, board games and colouring books under the stairs, plus plenty of DVDs for the snug. Having two TVs downstairs kept both boys happy. It’s a handy spot for Anglesey, and we also took day trips to the Conwy Valley. Church Bay was about a 10-minute drive, or a 45-minute walk with time to stop for photos.

Mr & Mrs Evans made us feel very welcome, and were around for questions while still leaving us to enjoy our holiday. We stayed over the May bank holiday in 2016, and the cottage had everything we could need, right down to a needle and thread and plasters. It was spotless, and even the weather was perfect. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. The Wright family can’t wait to go back.
