Helen, the owner, suggested a good Italian restaurant and even booked it for us. We stayed two nights with friends and would happily come again. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was great. It’s just a short walk into town, where there’s a good range of restaurants. The bathroom is a few paces down the landing rather than attached to the room, but it’s private to your use and spotless.

Helen is a bubbly, engaging host, and the welcome cream tea was a lovely extra. The B&B is well priced and has all the essentials, from its great location and comfortable beds to a breakfast menu with options for different diets, including vegan. I’d highly recommend it.

After our long walk from Keld to Richmond, the cream tea waiting for us was just superb. Nuns Cottage is a wonderful place to stay, with a fantastic, comfortable double room and tasteful decor. Helen is such a warm, kind hostess, and we found the stay very relaxing. We’d happily return and highly recommend it. Gary and Sarah

The place was immaculate, with lovely attention to the little details. Helen welcomed us with coffee and scones with jam and cream. Breakfast was delicious and got our morning off to a good start. Shops are only a two-minute walk away, right in the centre, and Helen gave us a parking permit for the stay. We’ll definitely return when we’re in the area.

Helen was a wonderful host, and breakfast was delicious. We also loved the complimentary cream tea, it was out of this world! There are plenty of other breakfast choices too. My partner and I really enjoyed our time at Nuns cottage. Both our room and bathroom were immaculate. It’s a short walk into Ruchmond, and we’d strongly recommend staying here for the hospitality.
