The only awkward part was turning sharply left into 'the batch'. If you’re arriving that way, it’s easier to carry on up the road, turn around, then come in with a right turn. Otherwise, it’s a lovely, friendly place, with a beautiful room, really helpful staff and great food. I’d happily recommend it, and would love to stay again if I’m nearby.

The food was great, the pizza was cracking, and breakfast was really good too. Staff were friendly, there was a good pint and a nice atmosphere, and dogs are welcome. It’s in a pretty little village, though getting in involves an awkward turn and parking is limited, but manageable. The rooms are fairly basic, and a bit of soap and shampoo would be nice.

We were too late to eat, but the menu looked great, especially the interesting vegetarian choices, so that’s a good reason to come back. After our Sunday walk we stopped for a bit, and the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings on the bar made a welcome snack. Such a cool little place, with a rustic bar and a pretty river outside. I’d recommend it and will return.

We stayed overnight before flying out of Bristol Airport. It’s a great old-school pub, with good food and a nice breakfast. We’ll definitely use it again.

We came in for drinks and a catch-up with old friends. It was quiet for most of the evening, and we could sit outside by a little stream with egrets nearby. The food was good quality, with a varied menu.
