Cedar Retreats

We loved the quiet village setting, with town just a short drive away, and the lodge was cosy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a lovely extra, especially first thing in the morning with the sunrise and sheep in the field nearby. Cedar Retreats is a great little getaway just outside Ripon, good value and really relaxing. We'd happily recommend it and come back.

We stayed in lodge 6B for a romantic break with my wife. It was well equipped for relaxing between outings, and the hot tub was a welcome extra. The site was well presented and the staff were very helpful. It's a great base for exploring Yorkshire, with plenty to do a short drive away. We had a great stay and would come back.

The hot tub was lovely and clearly well looked after, and we found the staff welcoming and the site peaceful. The lodge itself was fairly basic compared with places we've stayed before. There were just two coffee sachets for three nights, one towel each, and only limited toiletries, so it didn't have many little extras to give it a luxurious feel. Depending on what you like doing, there also isn't a lot in the area. Still, we had a nice stay.

We had three rooms, and the price was really good. Service was spot on, and it made for a perfect weekend away. The out of hours staff member was friendly, polite, and came quickly to sort our issue. The hot tub was fab, and you can have a small BBQ in the designated area. The downside was that the cabins had bugs and ants, and webs that made it seem they hadn't been properly cleaned or dusted. There weren't many extra basics, such as salt and pepper or another toilet roll, and the double room beds felt poorly made and low quality.
