We only meant to stop for a quick drink on the way back from Bexhill, but the Sunday roast looked good and was just £14, so we stayed for food. It tasted even better than it looked, with a generous serving of meat that wasn't sliced paper thin. Everyone was really welcoming. We'll be back.

We were only at the pub for about an hour, and the staff gave good service. I left 3 stars for the rooms since I don't know what they're like. Giving zero would've been unfair.

We just dropped in for a pint with my wife, but Tony the landlord made us feel so welcome that we ended up having a great meal and four more beers. Thanks, Tony. Mark and Les from Cornwall.🤩

It feels like stepping back in time, and I loved the decor. So many places feel clinical these days. We only went to the pub/bar, but it was refreshing to be able to chat with the landlord or staff over a pint. It's a gem, and we'll definitely be back.
