Host Stay 5 The Bank House

Your personal attention after my unfortunate accident was exceptional. We’ve enjoyed lunch here several times before, but this stay was for meeting friends in Knareborough. We had a lovely short visit and expect to book again for two or three nights later this year. Many thanks, Dorothy and Eric.

It’s a lovely old building, and I found the short history booklet beside the bed really interesting. The room facilities were great too, especially the Nespresso machine, and the shower was hot and strong with plenty of toiletries. Above all, the bar and breakfast staff made us feel welcome and valued. They were fantastic, friendly, and efficient.

We stayed three nights and would happily return. The pool and health suite were brilliant, so bring your trunks. The food was great, the rooms comfortable, and the staff friendly. It’s an old place with plenty of history, and a bit creaky in spots.

We enjoyed every part of our weekend at The Crown Hotel, though it was over too soon. We’d have no hesitation returning when we’re next in Yorkshire. The staff clearly make an effort, from the warm welcome at reception to the excellent restaurant service. Emma and the team looked after us at dinner, where the dining room was beautifully set, the atmosphere relaxed, and the food superb. Ian welcomed us at breakfast and brought tea, coffee, and our meals from the kitchen. Our superior room was spacious, warm, and just as described, with tea and coffee plus an espresso maker and pods. We used the included pool and spa, with a warm, relaxing pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Everything was spotless, and towels were provided. Booking was straightforward, with confirmation, an option to reserve dinner, and a simple online check-in before arrival. Ten out of ten from us.
