A lovely place to unwind, with friendly, helpful staff, really good food and beautiful nature and views. The rooms are cosy and the dining room is cute. It's close to Wales, while still within driving distance of other lovely English villages. I really enjoyed our stay. If you want to know the history of the main house, I'd recommend reading about it after your visit :)

The food was really nice and freshly cooked, and breakfast was probably the best I've had. It's all made to order, with homemade muesli and granola available while you wait. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a lovely couple of days. The location is fantastic and the views are lovely. We stayed in the courtyard rooms because I'm disabled, and they were laid out nicely with an accessible walk-in shower and wet room, so I could get around easily. The only small thing missing was grab handles in the shower, but that's nit-picking.

We chose Brooks Country House as a good base for trips into Wales, south to Bath and through the Cotswolds. We were often out enjoying the countryside, so didn't try dinner. Back at the house, the location was quiet, the bed and pillows were great, and breakfast was fabulous. The staff were great too.
