Broome Farm

Blossom cabin was a lovely place to stay with my Labrador, Pippin. I felt very welcome, and finding cider cake and cider in the fridge was a treat. I also had a great tasting with Albert Johnson, the cider maker at Ross on Wye Cider, and the orchard walks were the best. Thanks for having me.

The setting among the apple and pear orchard is magical, and the cabin was delightful, with all the modern comforts, including a full kitchen. We stayed four nights in the harvest cabin at Broome Farm and the whole experience was exquisite. Hiliary welcomed us and made us feel at home from the start. Breakfast was superb: fresh fruit, muesli, croissants, toast and a delicious full English. A special treat was hearing about cider making from Michael, who has a strong connection to the land. We also sampled and blended some local cider and Perry. We can't recommend it highly enough.

On our third visit to Broome Farm, we stayed in one of the beautifully presented new cabins. Hilary's hospitality and love for her visitors and business make this place a real treasure in the Herefordshire countryside. We spent our days walking at Tintern Abbey, Symonds Yat and the Malverns, then came back for cider cake and tea. We'll be back for the harvest in September.

Hilary was a fantastic host, and the cider cake and amazing breakfast were both a treat. My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Broome farm. Our room was lovely and very spacious, and it was a great base for walks nearby, with some great routes just a short drive away. The Yew Tree Inn also does great pizza, and you can walk there from the property.
