Argyle Guest House

There was loads of room for our large group, and the house had everything we needed. It was clean, tidy, and in a fantastic spot. The hosts were really friendly and shared all the information we needed. We had a wonderful weekend at Argyle House and would highly recommend it.

The host was so friendly and quick to sort out every issue we raised. We’d definitely stay again. The house is across from the ocean, with restaurants and shops an easy walk away; there’s a bus stop right outside and the ferry terminal is a short walk too. It has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a spacious yard and a hot tub we enjoyed.

We spent our days swimming and doing watersports just across the road, and took cycles around the island. The secure courtyard was handy for storing the bikes, and the back yard was secure for our dogs. The dog area was well set up too. Children and adults both made good use of the hot tub. The house itself was spotless and spacious, with room for everyone, and the kitchen was well equipped. Its hatch into the dining room made serving a large group easy. We also liked being close to town, had a few pints at Bute Yards near the castle, and walked along the front to Port Bannatyne in the evenings. We came with canoes and stand-up paddleboards and were on the water within minutes. We made lots of family memories and wouldn’t hesitate to book Argyle House again.

We had such a special family stay here, and the views were stunning. There was plenty of room, from the living areas and dining space to the bedrooms and storage. The hot tub was great, and the PlayStation and children's channels kept the little ones happy. The kitchen had all the dishes, cutlery, and cookware we could need. Local takeaways were reasonably priced, delivered without any fuss, and had something for everyone. A park and green space are within walking distance for children and furry pals, and the sandy beach is about a 15-minute drive away. We’re so grateful we could stay here and will absolutely be back.
