Marvel Apartments

We loved how peaceful and quiet the apartment was, and Sam was a friendly, helpful host. He gave us more than enough information, including where to park, which made everything comfortable. We'd be happy to stay with him again in Leamington. We booked for five days and had a delightful stay. The apartment is near the town centre, with a grocery shop downstairs where you can pick up anything from milk and bread to vegetables and sandwiches. Inside, there's a large lounge and kitchen, a good sized bedroom and bathroom, and both the bed and couch were comfortable. The kitchen had all the essentials, including utensils, kitchen towel, tissues and cleaning liquid. The linen, towels and the apartment were all clean.

The location was fabulous for town and Victoria Park, but there were noise problems. The shop downstairs started rolling goods out onto the pavement after 5am, and with no double glazing we couldn't sleep. QuickFit opposite played music so loudly that we could hear it constantly. We stayed in apartment 1. It was smaller than expected, and I hadn't noticed that the listing only said one room, so the children had to use the sofa bed and weren't happy about it. The host was very good and offered to move us if possible, but there was no availability. Everything was clean, though not thoroughly cleaned. The glasses weren't clean, the previous occupant had left a lot of bathroom items, and the bed linen was very creased or hadn't been changed. Our toilet leaked, so we had to move rooms. The host responded very quickly, upgraded us and agreed to give us an extra night at a discounted rate. That made up for some of the little things that could have made this a five star stay. Overall, we had a good visit.

The apartment is modern and in a really good spot, but the cleaning needs more attention. Some bulbs were missing or had blown, and the bed linen looked as if it had already been slept in. The washing-up sponge was so grubby I wouldn’t have used it on the toilet.

Sam was friendly and kept in touch really well throughout our stay, and the flat was clean with a handy central location. The pull-out sofa in flat 1 is quite small, so I wouldn’t suggest squeezing four adults in. My husband and I would happily come back just the two of us.
