Hotel du Vin & Bistro Tunbridge Wells

Viki was a lifesaver for me, my wife, and our toddler. She's helped us before, and her kindness and “nothing is too much trouble” attitude made everything so much easier. She even remembered us after some time, and gave us such a warm, personal welcome. Sam also gave us extra support and top-tier service, which we really appreciated. We had a fantastic day at Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells and will definitely be back!

The room in the Cottage was noisy through the walls for most of our stay. Staff offered another room, but warned it might be even noisier. We investigated the grounds ourselves and worked out the sound was coming from the kitchen. With the constant traffic as well, we didn't enjoy spending any downtime in the room, which was a shame since we'd planned a cheeky one-night break for two. We give it 7 out of 10. Our spirits picked up in the main hotel and beautiful gardens for a sundowner. My full English breakfast was perfect, and the veggie options were great. You can also choose from the breakfast buffet alongside the full English, which costs over £20, and that's superb value. On-site parking is limited and needs pre-booking. We found reserved signs when we arrived and only just got the last space. Multi-storey parking is nearby, but we didn't try it. The hotel is well placed for central Tonbridge and nearby beauty spots and places of interest.

Today we came to the bistro after my husband's private cremation, and the Polish lady who served us was simply amazing. I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but her kindness meant a lot on such a special day. The food was delicious, and we love the decor and this bistro. We also love the hotel change and Tunbridge Wells, and this is one of my husband's favourite places to eat. Thank you so much. We'll be back, we love coming here. X

Spacious, warm rooms and a fabulous breakfast. Great hotel, ideally located for the town centre and its bars.
