The fireplace at the heart of the restaurant gives the room a cosy, intimate feel, especially on a chilly evening. It’s a lovely spot for a leisurely dinner, a glass of wine or a quiet moment with good company. At The Tunbridge Wells Hotel, the restaurant has a warm, refined atmosphere, with classic charm, soft lighting, elegant decor and thoughtful details that make it feel welcoming and homely. Attentive service and beautifully presented dishes add to the experience. It’s a place with warmth and character, where every meal feels memorable.

The building has a real slice of history, and the location is perfect. The bar on the ground floor is a nice bonus, and breakfast was very good. Just be ready for stairs and that cosy pub atmosphere, since reception is at the bar.

The location is great, but there’s far too much here that lets down the historic building. The price is the first problem. The rooms were crap, the service was crap, and the advertised rooms didn’t match what we paid for. Shockingly overpriced tat. I’d put fair value at around £40 with breakfast. Anything more and you’ve wasted your money. Find somewhere else to avoid the disappointment.

The location is great, but I wouldn’t go back. The breakfast was awful, with undercooked eggs on my second visit. Service was very poor, and the manager made us feel like it was our fault the food was wrong, as if we were trying to get a free meal. Eggs eleven is much better.

I stopped in for a cocktail after work and really liked the calm, happy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and funny, and they stayed positive despite how stressful catering can get, no matter how busy they were. The bar manager was a great character, too. My espresso martini was lovely. They asked how I wanted it, and I told them to make it how they thought best. Couldn’t fault it. Thanks, guys and girls.
