The room was spotless, warm and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was top-notch. We had our wedding here yesterday, and the whole day went perfectly, with no dramas or issues. The staff were polite, professional and so helpful, and the venue itself was amazing. The food was stunning, easily five stars plus. Thanks so much to everyone for all the hard work. We’ll definitely come back for a short break. The beer was good too 😂. If you’re thinking of having your wedding here, I’d absolutely recommend it.

The meals were the highlight for me. Every dish, from the starters through to dessert, was delicious and beautifully made. I can't remember the last time I ate so well. My room was spotless and well cared for, and the new bathroom felt modern and comfortable. I had an amazing stay at the Rudyard Hotel and would gladly recommend it. I'd be happy to return.

We were warmly welcomed, even though the hotel was busy with Christmas revellers in the bar. There were lots of well-behaved dogs around, which we loved. I asked for a bath and was easily moved to a different room than the one we'd booked. James looked after us throughout, serving both dinner and breakfast, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The restaurant beside the bar was much quieter. The food was fresh, rustic and made to order, and breakfast was superb. The bedroom was basic, but spotlessly clean and well equipped, with nice toiletries, big fluffy towels and a super-comfy bed. We stopped for the night to break up our drive to the Midlands and were glad we did. We'd stay again. Thanks for having us.

The atmosphere was warm and cosy, and the staff were really friendly. I had the beef for lunch with a friend, who chose chicken. Both were excellent. We were just walk-ins, so I can't comment on the rooms, but if they're as good as the lunch, they'll be great.
