The reception staff were the best part of our stay at Premier Inn Runcorn. I spoke with two young women there, and both were polite, professional, friendly and genuinely helpful. They made us feel welcome and seemed happy to help with anything. You don’t often get such consistent service, and both deserve recognition. We visited Chester Zoo and attractions in Chester. The room was clean, comfortable and well kept, with spotless bathroom facilities, fresh towels and clean bedding. We slept very well. Breakfast was good, with a decent choice for adults and children. Kids eat free at the Beefeater restaurant on the premises, which is great value for families. Good food, a clean room and great service throughout. I’d gladly return and recommend it.

The team at the preston brook beefeater made what could have been an ordinary meal a really enjoyable visit. Everyone was attentive without hovering, warm and easy to talk to, and nothing felt rushed or forced. You can tell they care about the work and that supportive management plays a part. It’s refreshing when staff seem valued and it comes through in the service. Huge credit to all of them, we’ll be back.

We often come back to our favourite Runcorn Premier Inn to be near family in Chester. My in-laws’ stairs are too difficult for me, so we book an accessible room where I can sleep comfortably and use a spacious, clean bathroom easily. I sometimes need a bit of extra help, too. We missed our usual night-shift pals Pete and Fran this time, but Amy gave me such a lovely welcome when I wasn’t feeling well, and Emma, whom we knew already, helped us get the bedding we needed and set things up. My condition makes me sensitive to heat and cold, so having heaters and fans meant I stayed comfortable. That made a big difference. Andy could visit his parents while I rested on my own, knowing I was set up well. I slept really well. We had a picnic breakfast in the room, though we sometimes enjoy a STUNNING Premier Inn breakfast. The Premier Inn access line is also great for enquiries. Travelling with a disability is really hard, and credit to Premier Inn, especially Runcorn, for making it a little easier. Seeing family matters a lot to us. Thanks!

I was happy with the rooms, staff and facilities at Premier Inn, as expected, but the parking left me really disappointed. I booked two large rooms for two nights for around £275, then got two parking breach penalties totalling £120 for that same stay. The Premier Inn website clearly says guest parking is free, and staff noted my car registration when I arrived, so I thought it had all been taken care of. I’ve stayed at other Premier Inn hotels without this happening. Now I have to spend my own time appealing penalties that shouldn’t have come up in the first place.

You get what you expect from a Premier Inn, and the adjoining Beefeater is my favourite restaurant, so that was all good. The window opens beside the motorway, and there’s no air con, though a large desk fan is provided. If you’re using more than one bed, it’s probably worth bringing extra fans so everyone gets some airflow. The stairs creak a bit.
