The Bridge View

I needed somewhere at the last minute and ended up having a really good stay. The single room was simple but had all I needed, and it was spotless. The staff were so friendly and made me feel welcome. I’d happily come back.

The location is handy: you can walk to the city centre, bus station and train station, with a fast train link to Liverpool. It’s good value, though there aren’t many alternatives, so don’t expect too much. Check-in is only available during limited hours, and the rooms are upstairs on the first floor above the pub.

I fancied a roast today and had heard the bridge veiw did takeaway dinners, so I gave one a go. It arrived piping hot and tasting really fresh, as good as a meal eaten in. Glad I tried it, and I’d recommend it.

I paid for a room, but when I got there nobody answered the door. I waited outside for nearly an hour and a half before having to turn around. The place was listed as open, and repeated calls got no answer either. Absolutely disgusting.
