The room had a welcome box with tea, water, ear plugs and other bits, and despite being right above a bar, it wasn’t loud at all. The location was great, directly across from the station and bus stops. You also get 10% off drinks bought at the bar. Definitely worth the money, and I’d stay here again next time I’m in town.

The room was clean and really nice, and the staff were friendly. It’s very close to the beach, an easy walk, and the kids enjoyed it. The main downside was the noise at night. Loud music and people shouting in the bar and on the street kept us awake until 3am.

The breakfast was a standard English one, but it was good and we enjoyed it. The location is handy, right by Ryde pier and the bus stop. The rooms are upstairs above a bar, and the rooms themselves are fine, though on Fridays the bar can get very loud. The staff were very casual, as you’d expect in a bar. When we arrived, the place felt a little uncanny, and there weren’t many other guests. Room access is through a back door, but bikes locked to a pillar blocked the passage completely, which was annoying.

There’s a decent selection of drinks at reasonable prices, friendly service, and a covered smoking area at the back. The location is good near Ryde seafront, about two minutes from the bus and train station. The crowd varies in age, with younger people sometimes at weekends, and there’s occasional live music then too.
