I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting Isle of Wight. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, smelled bad, and looked nothing like the online photos. The bathroom facilities were terrible, and the whole property felt old, uncomfortable and badly managed. Hygiene standards were very disappointing. Staff were rude and unhelpful whenever we raised concerns, and customer service was very poor. For the price, it’s completely unacceptable. There are much better places to stay in Ryde.

I’d stayed here before and had a pleasant experience, but this room was in disrepair. It was clean and the towels smelled lovely, yet the bathroom had two huge old fashioned boilers, broken tiles, a broken shower head with no pressure, and I couldn’t get hot water. There was also a broken shelf and damaged door trim. I left on time but was still charged 25 pounds. Never again. The owner has been rude and argumentative after being called out yet again. The hotel said I was loud and abusive; I asked for CCTV, but they couldn’t provide it. As a family business, they’ve mocked my dyslexia and judged me and my mental health. I’d stay at the veteran, an amazing place with real people. Seahaven lied and mocked my mental health, and I have proof.

Only a couple of minutes on foot from Ryde ferry port, and some rooms have sea views. The place is a bit run down, but clean and well run, and it isn’t expensive, so I’d recommend it. The staff were helpful and flexible with us. We skipped the breakfast option, but there’s a cafe seconds away that does great breakfasts.

A good base for IOW, with the ferry and hover ports easy to get to. We were welcomed on arrival, and had a good sized room with a separate bathroom.

The worst place to stay in Isles of Wight. If you’re visiting the island, never book this place.
