The Gem

We were after a quiet weekend, and that’s exactly what we got. The garden is beautifully kept, with several nice spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings, and the summer house is lovely too. The owners were welcoming and knew the area well. There were tea and coffee, plenty of milk and juice, and a generous continental breakfast. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back.

Janette made our first anniversary stay feel really special. There was a card and a box of Maltesers waiting for us, and she offered to drive us into town or lend us bikes at no extra cost. She was incredibly helpful throughout, and her hospitality made a big impression. The place was spotless, the facilities were great, and we loved breakfast. We spent two nights here with my wife and had an amazing time. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you, Jannette.

The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious, and everything was spotlessly clean. I was a little concerned about sharing the bathroom, but only two rooms use it and it was immaculate. We stayed for one night during the Rye Jazz festival. The house and its location were so peaceful and relaxing that I didn’t want to leave. It’s close to Rye, the host was lovely, and we’ll definitely return. Highly recommended.

The host was warm and accommodating, and her local tips helped me find and enjoy some nearby attractions. I slept well in the very comfortable bed, had a fabulous breakfast, and found the bathroom very clean. Finding the place in the dark was a bit tricky on my first visit because I didn’t trust my sat nav, even though it had directed me right to the front of the property. The host saved the day 👏👏. I’ll visit again and would easily recommend it.
