Thalatta Guest House

It was a basic place, and my stay was good overall. The Portuguese woman running it was rude when I asked for the Wi-Fi password, which was a shame. I think she may be a bit fed up with Jersey. If friendly customer service matters to you, this probably isn't the place.

The front desk lady was so sweet. She even let us leave our bags at the desk while we went to the botanical garden. We’ve stayed here twice and feel right at home. The location works really well too, near bus stops and the beach, but away from the busy middle. And breakfast is amazing.

The receptionist was so kind. When she heard I’d be leaving before breakfast began, she brought a whole tray of food for me, which I really appreciated. It’s an old hotel, but a great one, with everything you need and a generous English breakfast included.

Our hosts were helpful, with a friendly welcome, equipment, fresh linens, and a good breakfast. The price was very affordable, and the place had the no-frills character you’d expect from a cosy, classic seaside B&B. We stayed for a lovely long weekend on our first visit to Jersey. It made a perfect base, within walking distance of the town centre and right by the sea. We’d recommend it.
