The location is great and the view is lovely, but everything else was awful. The towels were dirty, the place was poorly maintained, the beds were dire and clearly overused, and even the front door lock was broken. I contacted the owner, who didn’t care. Reviews say it was refurbished three years ago, but it doesn’t look like anything has been done since. I ended up having to claim the payment back through my credit card. It’s expensive, around the same price as Gara Rock or harbour hotel. I’d get better value at either of those, since both are well maintained and fix problems when they come up. They’re also dog friendly. Don’t be fooled by old reviews. Avoid this place unless you want a terrible night’s sleep and to overpay for somewhere run down.

The balcony looks out over a wonderful view and the local park, which was perfect for the kids. The flat itself is beautiful and modern, and my family loved our stay. It’s a great location, just a short walk from the town’s tempting shops and delicious restaurants, and right by the water for crabbing. The open-plan living and kitchen area gave us a lovely place to spend time together when we stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed, so all we had to bring was food. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the kids were delighted to have their own TV. There’s loads to do in Salcombe, and this flat is a great place to start. We’ll definitely come again, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

This was our first trip to Salcombe in Devon, and it was quite a break. The accommodation had been recently refurbished to a very high standard, with a handy parking space and a balcony looking out over the harbour. Usually, we spend most days in the car when we holiday in the UK, but here we could walk to unspoilt beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants, with open countryside nearby too. We really got to immerse ourselves in this little slice of paradise. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely week at flat 4, which was spacious and clean. Each morning the view from our balcony was wonderful, and it was a bonus that dogs were welcome. We spent Christmas here and loved it, so we’ll come again. Our internet was down, so we had to use the connection in flat 3.

Great place to stay, with everything you need and lovely views.
