The location was great, but that was the main thing going for this cottage. It was tiny, cluttered with furniture and kitchen cupboards full of unnecessary things. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. In the main bedroom, the huge bed could only be reached from one side, so we had to scramble over each other to get in and out. The mattress was awful, and an enormous wardrobe took up the whole room. It hadn’t been cleaned properly when we arrived, which was especially worrying with COVID-19 still a concern. We spent the first two hours cleaning, and it hardly helped. We each got one set of towels and were expected to wash them ourselves, as they weren’t going to be changed. Being dog friendly doesn’t mean a place should be dirty or that anything will do.
