Had a really lovely meal at The Fortescue. The pizza was great and fairly priced, with a good choice of fish, burgers and more. There's a set menu for two courses at £30 or three at £35, and everything was freshly cooked. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend it and return. Thank you 👍
I live near Bournemouth and often go to Chez Fred for its famous fish and chips, but this pub's version may have topped it. The fresh catch of the day was outstanding, perfectly cooked, full of flavour and easily the best fish and chips I've ever had. Huge compliments to the chef!
The location is great, and the staff were really good. Breakfast was splendid too, with every ingredient high quality and cooked just right. Can't recommend it enough.
Breakfast was unbeatable, and we had a lovely room with a fabulous bathroom. It was a busy bank holiday weekend with a wedding going on, but the staff and our stay were outstanding. Would highly recommend.
The pub had a lovely atmosphere, and everyone working there was so welcoming. We arrived at 9:30pm and found out the kitchen had stopped serving half an hour before. With no time to find dinner elsewhere, we went to look for snacks. As we were heading out, the chef came after us and offered to make pizzas while the oven was still warm. We accepted, not expecting much with the kitchen closed, but they were incredible. The dough was cooked perfectly, the toppings were great, and they were full of flavour. Couldn't recommend it more.
