Apartment Close to City Centre and Media City By Pillo Rooms

We had a terrible experience with Pillo Rooms and found them completely unprofessional. We booked a Salford stay for our employee and got the check-in instructions ahead of time, but the key safe wouldn’t work, so there was no way to get into the property. I spent over 90 minutes calling, leaving voicemails and emailing the reservations team without getting any response. After a long workday, with no access and no help, we had to pay out of pocket for somewhere else late at night. I raised it through Booking.com, and the property then cancelled the booking without explaining why. There was no apology, acknowledgment or fix, just silence. I’ve submitted a formal reimbursement request and am now pursuing the issue through the appropriate channels. This isn’t what I’d expect from a professional hospitality provider. Avoid Pillo Rooms unless you’re willing to be left stranded without support.

We slept very comfortably and would happily choose this apartment again. It was clean and spacious, with useful kitchen appliances and utensils. Getting in was easy, and the location worked well, with shops and takeaways nearby and quick access to the motorway. Free street parking right beside the property was a bonus. Great value for money all round.

I finally got around to writing this, even though I stayed here last October. It’s an easy walk to Weaste tram stop, so getting into town was handy. If you’re shopping for food without a car, nearby shops aren’t the most convenient, though planning ahead makes that manageable. The flat was bright, clean and comfortable, with everything needed for a short stay. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Manchester.

We felt at home in this lovely apartment and had a great long stay. The location is quite good, with a bus stop right outside and the tram within walking distance. Staff were caring and helpful, and good at sorting things out. On arrival, the room was exceptionally clean and matched the photos. There were dishes, cutlery and kitchen utensils, and we could adjust the room temperature ourselves. Thanks so much, Pillo Rooms. This is the place to stay in Salford.
