The evening was really nice, especially the cocktails, and our room was lovely. Breakfast was another story. We waited 35 minutes for drinks, which arrived lukewarm and only half full, and the continental items we’d ordered never came. It left a bitter taste after such a good night. Three stars overall, and I wouldn’t recommend breakfast unless you’re prepared to wait.

The studio had plenty of space, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely bathroom. I couldn’t use the iron because it was dirty. The gym is pretty big and well equipped for a hotel, and the pool is beautiful, large, and warm. The jacuzzi was relaxing, though the steam room had no steam and cold air was coming in through a vent. The location is great, close to the city centre and cathedral, and the room had really nice amenities.

Breakfast at Embankment Kitchen is always fresh and tasty, a great start to the day. The location works really well too, with everything easy to get to, and the facilities are consistently well maintained. We booked a two-bedroom apartment again and it was spot on. Clean, modern, comfortable, and just the right amount of space for travelling with family. Having two bathrooms makes the stay much more relaxed. Another brilliant visit, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The breakfast booking system made little sense. We reserved a table for 11:00 as instructed, but weren’t seated until 11:30 and nobody took our order until 11:55. That kind of delay defeats the point of booking. Communication throughout was poor too: no one took ownership or checked whether we were comfortable. I couldn’t find a manager during the stay, so I emailed instead. I only got a reply after checking out, and it didn’t properly address what had happened. We’d planned a relaxing weekend away, but the first room was so hot we couldn’t sleep. A staff member checked and agreed the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. Opening the window was the only option offered, but the street noise made that impossible. We were moved to another room, which was poorly prepared and had a broken sofa. It felt more like a downgrade than a fix. Between the room problems, broken furniture, chaotic breakfast, and frustrating communication, the stay fell far short of what we expected and paid for. I rarely leave a negative review, but this experience deserves one. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free weekend.
