I’ve been here for three years, and I wouldn’t have stayed if I didn’t like it. The location works well for Salford Uni and the shops, and I think it’s worth the price. The community is top notch, and the 24/7 surveillance helps me feel safe all the time. The gym’s good and lets me work out every muscle group. The social areas are fun and always clean. The staff are really lovely, especially James and Leona, along with everyone else. They’ll talk with you about problems inside or outside the acom. I’ve really enjoyed my time here.

There’s a lot to make life here convenient. Each building has a laundry room on the ground floor, with washers and dryers you pay for through the Washstation app, which offers different wash options. Outside, there are benches and a half-court for basketball. There’s also a dedicated study room near the main entrance of the John Lester building, open anytime once the front desk reception team activates your card. The social rooms in each building are used for advertised events like killer pool and movie nights, and residents can also hang out there and meet people. They have water dispensers, vending machines, pool tables, and a TV. I’ve also had fast help from the maintenance team when I reported technical problems in my flat through the CLV app. I’ve been living at John Lester and Eddie Colman (JLEC) Courts since 09/2024, and my last two years at the nearby University wouldn’t have been the same without this student accommodation. Campus is just a ten-minute walk away. The staff are kind and welcoming, and there’s always someone at the John Lester front desk if I need help or just want a chat, in person or by phone. My contract ends in June, but I don’t regret booking here and strongly recommend it to students. The cost is reasonably affordable for what’s included. I’ve always felt safe with the police station around the corner, and big chain stores, supermarkets, and other local amenities are close by.

The staff make the place feel personal by getting to know you. They’re welcoming and friendly, and they always try to get things done in good time so our stay goes smoothly.

Leona is an awesome staff member, and the short walk to university is handy. It’s also a chance to meet other students and not feel alone. That’s the only star I’m giving this place, though. The residence is very expensive for the services and furniture on offer. I booked a platinum room to have only one roommate, but the room was tiny: one bed, one desk, and a bookshelf, all for 800£/month. The heater doesn’t work, so they gave me a temporary portable one. The shower is so small and the water flow so low you couldn’t even shower a cat in it. If you have a better option, take it. This place really isn’t worth it unless you have no choice.

Maintenance is really poor. Both lifts being out of order is a massive failure, and it’s especially bad when accessible rooms are advertised but working lifts can’t be guaranteed all year. The Eddie Coleman lift was broken for a while, and I was trapped in it for 10 minutes. Please do better.
