The Old Station House Hotel

Lindsey was a big help with the balloons, and we were allowed to bring and set up our own buffet. It all came together perfectly for a fabulous surprise birthday party on Saturday night. The venue was great, the bar staff amazing, the dance floor a good size, and the facilities were clean.

We had our wedding reception here last night, and they made it a night to remember. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the bar manager went out of their way to help. Prices were reasonable, and everyone put a lot of effort into making the customer service 10/10. Thank you so much.

A relaxed, friendly place with helpful staff and pretty good prices. It seems ideal for a celebration, though check the website for the prices. There are a few parking spaces beside the pub and a small car park across the road. I noticed they didn’t have draught bitter, but there were cans of John Smiths in the cooler. Nice place, and I’d drop in again if I was nearby.

It’s changed a lot for the better since my last visit in 1975. Back then the police used to raid it every Saturday night, ha! It’s a much more beautiful place now, and being back brought a stream of memories from my teenage years. I went for a birthday party and didn’t pay much attention to whether they serve food. It’s a credit to its present owners. I’ll visit again at some point, and would recommend it for a quiet, friendly evening.
