Travelodge Manchester Central

Mike and Lisa were great on the breakfast team. Mike was friendly, polite, and attentive to everyone, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The buffet was fresh and tasty. We were pleased with our one-night stay. Our family room and the rest of the hotel were clean and in good condition. The location was handy for the city centre without being too noisy. The car park is small, but we found a space easily, even on Saturday. We’d stay again.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms are spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Even though it looked busy on Sunday, the other guests were quiet. The hotel’s close enough for a short walk to the centre, while still giving you some peace and quiet. We’ve stayed in lots of Travelodges, and the Manchester price we got for two people was especially cheap. At £25 for two, my little gripes were minor: our room was by a heavy corridor door that slammed a few times around 9am, so next time I’ll ask for one at the far end. The toilet roll holder also wobbled like a seesaw and could use a sturdier design. For a clean room at good value, I’ll keep booking Travelodge wherever I go.

The rooms are clean and a good budget option. Check-in was efficient, and reception is open 24 hours. You can get food and drinks until 5am. There’s a fan and tea-making gear in the room, and you can ask reception for an iron.

The stay was pleasant, and the hotel was nice, with fairly spacious rooms. I did have a couple of issues: a party across the road was loud at night, and the bathtub drain didn’t work properly, so water collected quickly while I showered.
