We spent two nights in two rooms, and both were well equipped and kept to a high standard. The rooms were clean and modern, the staff were always ready to help, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The restaurant food was outstanding, and everyone was so accommodating. A hidden gem.

The staff were friendly when they served us drinks, and the pork and beef came in generous portions. We stopped in for a Sunday carvery with our dog and were looking forward to it, as it looked promising. There was a good choice of vegetables, but much of it seemed frozen and reheated, with a very wet texture and little taste. The gravy was very thin, the parsnips weren't roasted, and the potatoes were fried. This isn't for us, and we won't be back or recommend it.

After a long drive, Abi and the team gave us incredible service: a warm welcome, hot dinner, cold beer and a comfortable bed. I can't praise or thank them enough for the exceptional care. 10/10 and 5 stars. Highly recommend.
