Townend Farm Bed and Breakfast

Julie made us feel very welcome at this lovely farm campsite. The site is clean, quiet and well laid out, with hardstanding and electric, and lovely countryside views. There’s also a pub across the road serving great food.

Julie and Iain were so welcoming, and gave me great tips for my travels. They sent me off each day with a wonderful breakfast. The rooms were just as shown and lovely and clean. I’d happily stay again if I get the chance.

We liked it so much we booked an extra day because we didn’t want to leave! The rooms are cosy, breakfast is delicious, and Julie is a brilliant host who makes you feel at home. Absolutely wonderful place to stay, 100% recommended :)

The owners were so friendly and attentive, and breakfast set us up nicely for a long day of walking. My friend and I stayed here recently because it’s close to the North East coast walks, and we found the room clean, well furnished and really comfortable, with everything we needed. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making guests comfortable. The location works well for a short break, between two major towns and the picturesque North East coastline. There’s plenty to do nearby, so it’s a great base if you want a bit of everything. The place is lovely, though that hardly does it justice. I’d happily recommend it, and would stay again myself in an instant.
