Ann-Marie was such a lovely host that after only a short stay, leaving felt like saying goodbye to a friend. Breakfast had plenty of options, and the English breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a vegetarian option too. My room was spotless, cleaned every day, and very comfortable. I stayed three nights in early January 2026. The weather was bleak, but the countryside around the accommodation was beautiful. It’s easy to reach from the A1, yet once you arrive you’re right in the heart of the countryside. Highfield Farm was recommended to me, and now I understand why. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Anne Marie is a welcoming host and makes a wonderful breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and although the place is just off the A1 South carriageway, it’s extremely quiet, tucked behind the farmhouse. I’d recommend staying here if you’re working nearby or visiting the RSPB in Sandy.

We stayed in a couple of properties for a get-together with our large extended family near Sandy. They were spacious, warm, very clean and well equipped. Anne-Marie greeted us and was friendly and helpful. We hope to come back sometime.

The rooms were large and nicely furnished, and breakfast each morning in the beautiful dining room was a real treat. We were visiting family nearby, and this was a great base. The hosts were kind and helpful, and we’d definitely come back.
